Culture Secretary Maria Miller announced plans to introduce a marriage equality bill in Britain next year, but revealed that the Church of England and Church in Wales will be prohibited from participating.

An unofficial source who claims to have been standing next to Linda Carragher Bourne (and also claims to be a friend of hers) has given his own clarification of what Vice President Joe Biden actually said.

We pondered whether Biden had called LGBT equality "the civil rights issue of our time" while other sources have quoted the press pool as saying Biden used that description specifically for transgender discrimination.
