A new study out of New York University reveals that mental health burdens are playing a key role in the spread of HIV among young black and Latino men.  The study finds that the "burdens of racism, homophobia, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder contribute to the HIV epidemic among both groups.

After six teens died from suicide linked to a vehemently anti-gay and pro-bullying culture in Michele Bachmann's Minnesota district, residents decided to get together and hold a LGBT Pride event so that gay youth in the area knows it's "OK to be gay." Even by merely talking about it they've already done more than Bachmann has to curb the troubling and deadly epidemic tied to her bigoted platform.
