It appears Chris Kluwe's pro-marriage equality message didn't change the hearts and minds of all of his former teammates on the Minnesota Vikings.

His former teammate Adrian Peterson spoke out against same-sex marriage in a Sirius radio interview with Bruce Murray and Amani Toomer.

Illinois's marriage equality bill, known as "The Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act" has been granted a one week extension for consideration. 

The bill's sponsor assures supporters of marriage equality that the bill will be voted on next week.

France's bigot brigade may be trying really hard to steal the limelight away from the country's big moment, but they can't silence the news of the first gay couple to tie the knot under the new marriage equality law.  

In what was the final action on marriage equality this year in Nevada, the state assembly has kept momentum on an amendment supporting same-sex marriage going forward. 

The suicide of Dominique Venner, the French historian and a prolific anti-gay activist in the country who shot and killed himself inside Notre Dame this week, hasn't done much to further his cause against marriage equality; in fact, other prominent homophobes believe the act has made them all look like "kooks."

Both President Obama and former President Clinton are applying pressure in Illinois to get marriage equality passed before the spring legislative session ends on May 31.

A vote on marriage equality in Parliament is now threatened after reports that the Labour party could derail the entire legislation if it joins forces with Torys to vote in favor of granting civil partnerships to heterosexual couples. More on the potential hurdles below.

The ACLU wants to be sure viewers have the opportunity next season! The group’s advocacy arm, ACLU Action, has launched a campaign—complete with a website—to urge Modern Family producers to make it legal for the hit show’s gay couple, Mitch and Cam. 

Of course the show does take place in California, where same-sex marriage is still illegal, but I guess we suspended reality enough to believe Mariah actually sang on Idol last night, so why not here, right?
