New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie found himself in quite a pickle this week when he didn't exactly come out against "ex-gay" therapy, which is currently facing court time in his state. After facing backlash and a PR nightmare from his Democratic gubernatorial challenger, Christie's office released a statement of clarification late Thursday night.

Joe Jervis points us to a horror story brewing at the hands hooves of the Catholic Diocese of Colorado Springs, which has launched a local franchise of the "Courage International," a deplorable 12-step program intended to relieve homosexuals "uncomfortable with their lifestyle" of the burden of homosexual impulses. 

“It’s not about therapy and not about activism,” said the Rev. Larry Brennan, diocese director of priest formation. “It’s about support. The exercise of sexuality is reserved for marriage, and that can only happen between a man and a woman."

The Colorado Springs franchise, one of about 100 over the world, is evidence enough of the Catholic self-fulfilling prophecy: tell gay men they are sinners, inflict inner-torment...
