The Vancouver school that for 42 years did not apologize to Robin Tomlin for printing the slur "fag" next to his 1970 yearbook photo has attempted to make amends. But is Robin satisfied with the Superintendent of the North Vancouver School District's apology? 

A gay couple living in the Texas Panhandle town of Clarendon fear for their lives after someone painted "Leave or Die Fags" on their front porch. Jeremy Jeffers and Joshua Harrison say that neighbors have acted strange ever since a local pastor penned an anti-gay ad comparing homosexuality to pedophilia in the newspaper.

The Rangers are "looking into" an anti-gay slur tweet issued by the account of the baseball team's starting pitcher Derek Holland over the weekend. Holland denies writing "ur a fag" in response to an angry fan on the social network, but the team's general manager is taking the unwelcome distraction "very seriously."

NoHomophobes.com, a clever website that we hate has to exist, tracks the number of anti-gay language appearing on Twitter. The website's tracker then curates the posts into a museum of homophobia that hopefully will seem as antiquated to the mainstream as it already does to us in the not-so-distant future. 

So, how many tweets in a month contain a homophobic message?

Ozzie Guillen, the controversy-prone manager of the Miami Marlins, has rushed to defend Blue Jay Yunel Escobar's blatant use of a Spanish anti-gay slur on the MLB field and chalked it up to a difference of culture.

The Toronto Blue Jays have released a statement announcing an investigation into the "Tu ere maricon" eye black shortstop Yunel Escobar donned during a game against the Red Sox on Saturday. Details follow.
