In further proof that it's regaining its progressive-cred in the gay world, the California Senate has approved a resolution passed first by the state's Assembly asking the federal government to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act immediately.
“We're proud of the California legislature for making the state's opposition to DOMA official state policy,” said Equality California's Geoff Kors. “Now we must overturn this discriminatory federal law and pave the way for the marriages of same-sex couples to be recognized at the federal level.”

At least that is the news coming out of that crazy CPAC conference. In a poll ranking the list of priorities, reducing the size of the federal government came in a strong first place, alongside government spending and the war of terror.
Stopping gay marriage, however, came in with just 1 percent of the vote. Also at the bottom, health care reform.
