The Centers for Disease Control is attempting the largest ever study of gay and bisexual men's health conducted by a U.S. federal agency. With every completion of a "Sex Is The Question" survey online, the CDC will make a donation to the It Gets Better Project. Details follow.

While America was collectively busy wanting hot dogs real bad over the holiday weekend, President Obama's Department of Justice was busy filing a huge, pro-gay 31-page brief that seeks to further dismantle DOMA. Details follow. 

Unfortunately we are all too familiar with the tragedy of middle school student Seth Walsh who hanged himself in his family's backyard last September because of incessant bullying at his middle school. Office of Personnel Management Director John Berry released a memo to all Federal Government executive department and agency heads on Tuesday afternoon, alerting them to new guidance rules regarding transgender federal workers. Read the government's new guidelines, after the jump.

In further proof that it's regaining its progressive-cred in the gay world, the California Senate has approved a resolution passed first by the state's Assembly asking the federal government to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act immediately.

“We're proud of the California legislature for making the state's opposition to DOMA official state policy,” said Equality California's Geoff Kors. “Now we must overturn this discriminatory federal law and pave the way for the marriages of same-sex couples to be recognized at the federal level.”

Apparently not the whole of the conservative movement. At least that is the news coming out of that crazy CPAC conference. In a poll ranking the list of priorities, reducing the size of the federal government came in a strong first place, alongside government spending and the war of terror.

Stopping gay marriage, however, came in with just 1 percent of the vote. Also at the bottom, health care reform.
