Danny Thomas, the Welsh footballer who denied sending a viciously homophobic tweet to Olympic Diver Tom Daley earlier this week, was arrested by police in connection with the harassment. Details follow. 

British Olympic diver Tom Daley has had a tough time at the pool and on Twitter since arriving to compete at the London 2012 Olympics. Shortly after placing fourth in the men's synchronised 10m platform event, Daley was subjected to a barrage of bullying on Twitter, with some of the harassment stemming from a Welsh footballer's account.
