With the U.S. Senate's immigration reform bill looming, Democratic New York Senator called a meeting with New York's leading elected gay officials and activists to discuss the inclusion of a pro-gay provision in the bill. 

The provision, which would protect binational same-sex couples from being separated by allowing foreign members to apply for green cards, has been presented as a make-or-break issue for the entire bill. 

Republicans have threatened to squash the bill if the provision is included.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has gone on record (well,on Twitter) saying that he will drop support of his own immigration reform bill if it includes provisions benefiting same-sex couples.

Alaska's House Majority Caucus was asked whether they'd consider same-sex civil unions or domestic partnerships and they just found that HILARIOUS.

Indiana lawmakers have decided that they will not put the question of whether or not to institute a state constitutional ban on the legal recognition of same-sex couples to voters via referendum this year.

If it's actually true then this is a phenomenal scientific breakthrough... 

A Japanese research team, led by Mitinori Saitou of Kyoto University in Japan are claiming to have created eggs from embryonic stem cells, as well as producing eggs that will become healthy offspring.

This could lead to gay men in same-sex relationships having the ability to create an offspring completely from just their two donor DNA's.
