American Family Association's disgust with the LGBT community is so ripe that it continues on into the afterlife, apparently. The AFA took issue with the entire handful of benefits the Pentagon extended to same-sex military couples this week, but is mostly aghast that LGBT American soldiers who die in the line of duty will be buried alongside their straight counterparts at Arlington. 

It might feel odd not to boo a guy on the Republican ticket, but the rest we're able to give those part of our vocal chords is quite soothing after a lot of recent use. Vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan took a break from being heckled to say something in step with the American people for once. Details follow.

Unlike the other video we've posted this morning that relates to a huge news story from this week, this one, unfortunately, isn't satire. Rick Perry, hot off Wednesday's release of a new campaign ad that attacks gay American soldiers, is darn right tootin' sure that he meant to be blatantly homophobic in the video. In fact, to corroborate what he thinks is Jesus-approved intolerance, he augments his red-blooded patriotic homophobia (and his voice) to really hammer in the point during the interview. We don't know what's more surprising, the fact that Rick Santorum continues to defend is archaic DADT defense or that Fox News' Chris Wallace took that rhetoric and threw it back in his homophobic face. Check it out, after the jump. 

Don't let anyone who sat in the audience at Thursday night's Fox News GOP candidate debate know, but, thanks to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" repeal, Time Magazine's "Officer X" has been able to reveal his identity. So, what does 1st Lieutenant Karl Johnson of the Air Force have to say about using his real name in his byline for the first time?

President Obama, who signed the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010" late last year, continues to send mixed signals and infuriate gay servicemember groups by supporting the discriminatory law. The latest confusion sent by way of the Obama Administration arrives in a request asking the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to reconsider last week's landmark anti-DADT ruling.
