Last week we brought you word that gay conservative group GOProud (of which Ann Coulter now serves as a chair) was once again banned from the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Today, GOProud has ended the silence on the stinging diss. So, what do leaders of the group Chris Barron and Jimmy LaSalvia have to say about the shun heard 'round the world?

Two weeks ago Ann Coulter was whining that she just wants gays to shut up already and that she wishes Don't Ask, Don't Tell would be instituted for all of society; today, she's elected to conservative gay group GOProud's board and named a "gay icon." Makes sense, right?

GOProud: The party of rejection. Once again the black sheep of the LGBT family does something that could undermine our cause: they beg for inclusion into the wrong circles. Don't they know inclusion is a progressive, not conservative quality? GOProud head Jimmy LaSalvia, who himself was the victim of an alleged anti-gay hate crime attack this week in D.C., appeared on MSNBC to say that gays are more in need of guns to prevent hate crimes than federal protections from Washington.

Moments ago Donald Trump announced he is willing to saturate a possible 2012 Republican presidentail bid with "hundreds of millions" of his own fortune. That coupled with the increasingly-likely scenario of Trump running for president (a possibility GOProud has endorsed) doesn't bode well for the American LGBT community.

"No, I'm just not in favor of gay marriage," The Donald told Greta van Susteren. "I live in New York. New York is a place with lots of gays, and I think it is great. But I'm not in favor of gay marriage."

Because if anyone understands the sanctity of marriage, it's thrice-married supermodelizer Donald Trump.
