The House of Commons passed marriage equality on Tuesday evening by a large majority! In a vote of 400 to 175 (a majority of 225), MPs have voted for same-sex civil marriage in the United Kingdom.

A shocking survey conducted by the National AIDS Trust finds that one in five adults in the U.K. believe that both heterosexual and homosexual condom-less sex does not involve a risk of HIV transmission. Wow.
Other jaw-dropping numbers revealed in the study include:
Only three in ten adults (30%) can correctly identify, from a list of possible routes, all of the ways HIV is and is not transmitted
An increasing proportion of adults incorrectly believe HIV can be transmitted by impossible routes such as kissing and spitting
Nearly a fifth of adults (19%) believe if a family member was HIV positive it would damage their relationship with them
