The Anti-Defamation League knows the exact chords to tug on the few heart strings we have to make us reach for the tissue box, apparently. In the group's new ad, it imagines what LGBT heroes who were taken from us before their time (such as Harvey Milk and Matthew Shepard) would be up to today. Grab the Kleenex and follow the jump.

In a true show of "pride" (It's Long Beach's Gay Pride Weekend), the city has announced that they will break ground this month on the very first park in America to be named after civil rights and LGBT leader Harvey Milk.

Very cool news!

Today, the San Diego City Council unanimously voted their final approval to rename a street after LGBT civil rights hero, Harvey Milk. San Diego will now become the first city in the United States to have a street named for Harvey Milk.
