Libby Phelps-Alvarez, an ex-Westboro Baptist member who has parted ways with her family, appeared on Anderson to give a behind-the-scenes look at the church's infamous protests ... and to apologize for her actions. 

Megan Phelps-Roper, the granddaughter of Westboro head homophobe Fred and the daughter of the current face of the clan, Shirley, has left her family and the congregation behind in the pursuit of sanity. 

A viral video from Australian satirical news team, The Chaser, is making the rounds in the wake of Westboro Baptist Church's announcement that they'll be picketing the funerals of the deceased victims of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting. 

The video, in which The Chaser reporter, Chris Firth, gets more than a little friendly with Fred Phelps, Jr., was shot years ago, but it certainly holds up. Homophobes fleeing in gay panic never gets old.

Dan Savage, a Washington resident, took a moment out of patting the LGBT community's back to applauding the oft overlooked straight allies who helped bring marriage equality to the Evergreen State.

Scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien was honored with Stonewall's annual "Bigot of the Year" award Thursday night in London for such hits as comparing marriage equality to slavery and child abuse and spreading rumors that homosexuality destroys a person's soul. Though the Cardinal was not on hand to provide an acceptance speech, many Christians have filled the vocal void with sharp criticisms of the internationally known LGBT group that handed out the award. 

Amidst tweets reporting destruction and death in the wake of Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy, Westboro Baptist Church heir and spokeswoman Shirley Phelps said that her clan is thanking God today for punishing the "puddle of states" that provide same-sex marriage. 

Having reached an unfortunate dead end investigating a horrific New Year's Eve anti-gay attack in Santa Barbara, California, police have decided to release audio of the crime in an attempt to gain more leads. 

We've been wondering what we were going to do with ourselves now that the London Olympics are no longer a source of distraction. Thankfully, Louis Vuitton rushed to answer that question this morning by releasing the first image of its new celebrity pairing with the now-retired Michael Phelps. 

Well, folks, today's the day that LGBT activists and the anti-gay movement have all been equally excited about: Chick-fil-A "Kiss In" Day! Hordes of beautiful homosezzuals are headed to the nearest Chick-fil-A as I type to lip-lock at lunchtime in a sign of protest against the fast-food/hate group. 

But is it really our best tactic?
