Snoop Lion hoped an appearance on VH1's Big Morning Buzz would silence some of the uproar over recent comments he made about hip hop being “too masculine” to welcome a gay rapper. (As if there are no masculine gay men.)

Somehow, he just seemed to make the entire situation even worse.

There have been a few NFL players who've said that they'd be uncomfortable in a locker-room with a gay teammate. Rapper T-Pain is sick of the arrogance and has taken to Twitter to call out these guys for what they are: homophobic.

Did dropping the Dogg and adding a Lion change Snoop Dogg Lion's sentiment about gay rappers in the hip hop world? Or has something else (perhaps what's in all the brownies he and Martha Stewart bake) gotten to his head to change the tune he was singing back in August?

Snoop no longer believes hip-hop would accommodate a gay rapper, saying now that the industry is too masculine for someone to come out.

The group last made waves when Bruce Springsteen used it as a bullhorn to speak out in favor of marriage equality in the four battleground states bracing for a showdown in November (Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington). Now it's Jay-Z's turn.

We're still tingling from head to toe after watching Frank Ocean's Saturday Night Live performances over the weekend, but we're not too numb to be affected by what many people are calling a diss at the tattooed hands of Lil Wayne.
