Sad news.

The Bronx Community Pride Center will close its doors after 16 years of providing health care, job-readiness training, support groups, case management, and cultural activities to the Bronx LGBT community.

This comes two weeks after the arrest of Lisa Winters, the former executive director of the center, who has been charged with embezzling $338,000 from the nonprofit.

A trip to your local drugstore could soon include a free HIV test.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced a $1.2 million pilot program that will offer free rapid HIV tests at pharmacies and in-store clinics in 24 cities and rural communities.

It could be coming your way. Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Blood Products Advisory Committee recommended approval of the OraQuick In-Home HIV Test, the first ever in-home rapid HIV test.
