We feel for the students of Mt. Dora High School, where nauseous anti-gay teacher Jerry Buell has been deemed "fit for teaching" despite comparing himself to "Jesus Christ" and telling students that gays should be sent to their deaths on the front-lines of war. Thankfully, we're not alone in our concern for Mt. Dora students, as apparent by a clever petition that has captured national attention...

Teachings of Jerry Buell, the Florida teacher briefly suspended for calling marriage equality a "cesspool" that makes him want to throw up, have hit the Internet, and, folks, they aren't pretty. Last week, we brought word to you that Buell, fresh off the decision by the Lake County School District to reinstate his teaching status, promised to teach kids like "Jesus Christ himself." Today, thanks to Equality Florida, we get an idea of what Buell imagines Jesus would teach kids about gay people.

Though (the now former) Puerto Rico Sen. Roberto Arango's 2009 vote for a constitutional ban on marriage equality truly victimized his LGBT constituents, the disgraced closet-case is now saying that he is the one due a pity party.

...well, maybe "tossed in jail" isn't the best wording. Surely, hate-group American Family Association doesn't want homosezzuals doing the nasty behind bars. Instead, how about, "American Family Association Wants All American Gays Imprisoned." With that clarification out of the way, what the what?!

Jerry Buell, the Florida teacher who enjoys letting his Facebook friends know he gets a tummy ache and cramps from the "cesspool" of marriage equality, continues his 2011 World Hate Tour on CNN. This time, he's joined by the anti-gay Liberty Counsel as he defends his supposed right to teach bigotry.

I might not be able to wrap my head around the concept of "ex-gay," (see previous post) but I can certainly wrap my mind around "ex-homophobe." Tim Hardaway, the former NBA star who made homo headlines in 2007 when he professed his literal hatred of gay people on national radio, is now a vocal supporter of international LGBT rights.

Just wow.

Though he means "no disrespect to our Native American friends," evangelical pastor David Barton invoked images of scalping the GOP New York senators who voted for marriage equality and hanging his bloody prizes in the gallery to scare other lawmakers away from voting in favor of civil rights. Praise Jesus!
