Dove's Real Beauty Sketches campaign has been making the rounds on the interwebz this week and if you haven't seen it you really should. 

Though that campaign was primarily targeted at women--we certainly could identify. (Spoiler alert: we could probably all use a dose of improved self-perception.)

While gay men and straight women may be overly critical of our own appearances, are (presumably) straight guys suffering from the same problem?

The parody video, "Dove Real Beauty Sketches: Men" attempts to find out.

Nate Gody and Jennifer DeLeo from Seattle Gay News have released candid shots that convey a salient sense of joy unmatched in other media images from the big mass wedding that took place at Seattle City Hall on Sunday. Nate and Jennifer were some of the only professional photographers allowed inside City Hall to document the big day, a fact that allowed them a unique perspective of history. For gay men coming out at younger ages and feeling an earlier "pressure" to get or remain fit, the superficiality of it all may have deeper health benefits than once assumed and may not amount to a futile endeavor. According to a recent comprehensive Swedish study tracking one million young men, those who are physically strong between the ages of 16 and 19 will likely live longer than their weaker peers—even if they become overwheight later in life.

We were disconsolate when Matthew Mitcham threatened to retire from the world of Olympic diving after the London Games. But our M-A-C-glossed frowns were turned upside down today when we learned that the Aussie hottie has parlayed his experience (and Olympic-carved body) into another fruitful career. Thanks to this new campaign from Funky Trunks, we don't have to pour a beer a glass of Veuve on the diving board in honor of Matthew; it looks like he's on to bigger (just check out his underwear modeling assets!) and better (at least for our lingering eyes) things in the years ahead.

GLAAD handed out its annual Amplifier Awards honoring the best in LGBT advertising and PR Tuesday night. Though its year in advertising boasts a string of reasons it deserved the top honor last night, JC Penney's "First Pals" catalogue image featuring dads Cooper Smith Koch and Todd Koch and their kids Claire and Mason stood out. 

The family sent in a video acceptance speech as they received the Outstanding LGBT Image in Mainstream Advertising award from GLAAD. Check it out after the jump!

Not many folks saw That's My Boy in theaters this summer, so with the DVD release of the movie coming in two weeks, the studio's promotional forces are trying their damnedest to have us pre-order the poorly reviewed flick (and take a long lunch)!

How in bloody hell is it possible that the heartthrob from Down Under is more ripped than ever in the drool-soliciting new shirtless promo pic from The Wolverine? Maybe it's all that kick-stretch-kicking he's been doing on Broadway that has given him a twelve-pack and brought his brawn out in full force? 

Whatever his secret, the first image from the upcoming movie has us crossing our fingers and legs (an unusual promise to fall from our mouths!) that The Wolverine shows up in IMAX upon release.
