We let out a cheer here at Instinct when we read that Diana Medley, the Indiana teacher that unleashed a torrent of anti-gay vitriol towards gay students, was placed on administrative leave, but now it appears that the move was made for her protection rather than as a form of punishment.

Indiana lawmakers have decided that they will not put the question of whether or not to institute a state constitutional ban on the legal recognition of same-sex couples to voters via referendum this year.

It appears Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller needs more added to his plate.

That's the only explanation we can come up with for why the clearly not busy AG is going out of his way to file a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court to get the Court to support the state's right to ban same-sex marriage.

Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit gave new meaning to the title, when she secretly traveled to India to care for infant twins born (via surrogate mother) to a gay palace employee. 

The employee and his husband were unable to get a travel visa to make the trip to India, so Mette-Marit stepped in.

The National Organization for Marriage's war against Starbucks isn't going so well. Launched over summer for a myriad of reasons surrounding Starbucks' many pro-LGBT initiatives, NOM's "Dump Starbucks" campaign has missed its target and, arguably, caused the anti-gay group itself the most damage. 

Losing the war? Then move the battleground to a locale where you have the advantage. In NOM's case, it's decided to move the battleground to the vehemently hostile-to-gays regions of the Middle East and Asia.
