Yea, that'd be the day. The above screen capture of the National Organization for Marriage's blog page made us wonder if pigs were flying. Turns out is was just ex-NOM head Maggie Gallagher.

Someone over at the NOM blog got lazy and linked to another website's image (in this case a political cartoon). The cartoonist wasn't too happy with the bigoted, anti-Christian group using their work, so they changed the NOM-linked image to a rainbow flag underscored by a Thomas Jefferson quote. Of course NOM, allergic to anything resembling logic or the notion of Christian values like tolerance and love for all humankind, lowered the flag the second they noticed. But hey, we'll always have the screengrab to remember the day the nation's...

So, hindsight is 20/20, but surely Mr. Jimmy Ienner, past president of Millenium Records, regrets passing on a new artist by the name of Madonna in 1981.

It's interesting to note that Mr. Ienner claims the only thing missing from Madonna's package is "the material." Maybe that's what pushed Her Madgesty to become the Material Girl?

It sounded too good to be true, but Cindy McCain's recent "calling out" of husband Johnny's odd obsession with Don't Ask Don't Tell is now but a memory. Earlier this month Cindy -- to much applause for standing up to her husband's dusted, antiquated (and in-the-minority) support of military discrimination -- said this in a PSA for the NOH8 Campaign:

"Our political and religious leaders tell LGBT youth that they have no future … They can't serve our country openly … Our government treats the LGBT community like second-class citizens, why shouldn't [the bullies]?"

But that didn't last long. Last week it seems the country's most prominent Stepford Wife reverted back to her blind following of her husband's misguided bigotry with a confusing...

Clint McCance, the d-bag whose legacy will now involve bigoted, redneck anti-gay rhetoric forever saved on the Internet, appeared on Anderson Cooper to explain himself and his resignation from the Arkansas County School Board he was elected to (which is likely the only smart thing this man has ever done in his life).

A Facebook page asking an Arkansas school district to fire an official has reached 17,000 supporters. Clint McCance, a school board member in Independence County, Arkansas, is under fire this week for a horrifically anti-gay Facebook statement he posted regarding last week's Spirit Day, reading, “Seriously they want me to wear purple because five queers committed suicide. The only way im wearin it for them is if they all commit suicide. I cant believe the people of this world have gotten this stupid. We are honoring the fact that they sinned and killed therselves because of their sin. REALLY PEOPLE.” [sic, and from an education professional, keep in mind!]

In response to the dangerous homophobia the education board member spewed,...

Math isn't my strong suit (Diane von Furstenberg is), but it's clear to me that a video featuring Elvira + Scissor Sisters + Ian McKellen = the gayest, campiest Halloween video ever made.

We haven't posted a video of the day in some time (largely because of the hectic DADT and election headlines over the past month), but couldn't resist reinvigorating the feature after watching this video love letter from a cute, sweet guy to his deaf boyfriend. It'd be totally heart-melting if our hearts were not as frozen as Maggie Gallagher's nether-regions...
