The FBI, maybe because they are the FBI, believe that rumors of J. Edgar Hoover being gay are just that, rumors. But today, with quotes about modern culture in general seeping out of his interview with GQ, we see that the director is more of a friend to the community than we had thought. There is no shortage of gay-nticipation for the same-sex intimacy scenes between actors Armie Hammer and Leonardo DiCaprio in the upcoming Clint Eastwood/Dustin Lance flick about J. Edgar Hoover. But what was the anticipation like for Armie Hammer as he prepared for his first kissing scene with Leo?

Well not to some in the FBI who believe the slightly unconfirmed image of Hoover as a gay man with a side-hobby as a cross-dresser is somehow insulting.

Terry Booth, a retired FBI agent, tells AOL News that he's upset about Hoover's portrayal as gay. "Obviously it upsets me when he's commonly portrayed wearing a dress or having an alleged relationship with Clyde Tolson. There are those who choose to believe it and those who choose not to. I think 99 percent of the agents don't believe it."
