The storm of controversy sparked by the AT&T/T-Mobile merger letter of recommendation GLAAD sent to the FCC doesn't seem to be dissipating anytime soon. First, the controversial letter of support that left the LGBT community scratching its collective chin lead to GLAAD President Jarret Barrios's resignation over the weekend. On Wednesday, six more heads of the organization reportedly topple. Today, GLAAD releases its first official statement on the string of resignations. Read it after the jump.

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) announced its annually-anticipated list of nominees for GLAAD awards this week. Unsurprisingly, a few of our favorite things from 2009 made the list of notable nominee names, including Glee, Modern Family and Lady Gaga.

Though interpretive dance might have been a more unique way of announcing this year's nominees, GLAAD president Jarret Barrios released a video on YouTube instead.
