What could be sweeter than the news that Kathy Griffin will make a guest star appearance on Glee? How about word Kathy will be playing a homeschooling, mama grizzly Tea Party Patriot? How delicious!

Although a casting breakdown that’s being passed around like a love note in third period suggests that Griffin will be playing a Sarah Palin type, my source tells me that Tammy Jean, theD-Listed liberal’s home-schooling Tea Party candidate character, isn’t really anything like the controversial former Alaskan governor. (Besides, what would be the point of trying to out-Palin Tina Fey?)

Kathy Griffin is more blunt than anything found in Miley Cyrus's ashtray. First she declared her book an Official Book Club Selection, then she pined for a Grammy, took home a few Emmy Awards, and now the fiery irreverent comedic queen is ready to for Tiffany to polish a Tony. 

According to a just-listed event on Telecharge, Kathy will bring a show titled "Kathy Griffin Wants a Tony" to Broadway in March!

Though she technically (according to Harvard statisticians) hasn't been on the D-List for half a decade, Kathy Griffin has announced that her gaydored Bravo reality show under that name has come to an end.

"It was a really tough decision because I think of the D-List as pretty much my baby for the last six seasons and I also think it was really time to stop doing it," Kathy tells People. "Reality is great, but I really didn't set out to be a reality star. So now it's time to spread my wings and show that I'm a little different than Kate Gosselin. I'm not saying better but maybe separate myself from the pack a little bit."

"I've already gone for Sarah, Todd and Bristol, obviously, but I think it's Willow's year to go down. In 2011 I want to offend a new Palin. She's called people a faggot on Facebook a couple of times -- you don't throw around the f-word without hearing from me about it."

There was a pesky rumor going around that Kathy Griffin's ill-received Bristol Palin joke got her fired from her annual CNN New Year's Eve broadcast gig with Anderson Cooper, but if we know anything about the feisty comedienne, it's that she boasts a knack for being re-hired. In a side-splitting (seriously, it's a hilarious preview of the jokes she has lined up for NYE) video for E! Online, Kathy reveals that CNN has re-hired her for the second time this year to watch the ball drop with Anderson -- which she, of course, has a sordid punchline for (watch it after the jump!).
