Earlier this week we saw an updated marriage equality map for the U.S., but today ILGA is giving us a glimpse of LGBT rights across Europe—ranging from full equality to gross violations of human rights. Check out the color-coded findings below.

While the Minnesota Vikings have remained mum on the reasoning behind their dismissal of kicker and outspoken LGBT advocate Chris Kluwe, there's one high profile Minnesota figure who thinks there's something fishy about Kluwe being cut. 

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton appears to attribute Kluwe's dismissal to his LGBT advocacy, and he doesn't appreciate it.

Nice pick!! Twin Cities Gay Pride has selected Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe as the grand marshal of the 41st annual Twin Cities Gay Pride celebration, schedule for June 30.

Naturally our awesome ally (and coiner of the phrase "lustful cockmonster") accepted!

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of Smoking and Health is including members of the LGBT community in its new anti-smoking campaign. 

That makes sense considering CDC data shows that LGBT people are almost 70% more likely to smoke cigarettes than others. (Sidebar, what's with people lighting up after they leave the gym??)

The House of Commons passed marriage equality on Tuesday evening by a large majority! In a vote of 400 to 175 (a majority of 225), MPs have voted for same-sex civil marriage in the United Kingdom. 

San Francisco 49ers, what's going on with you guys?! First the Chris Culliver gaffe and now some of you apparently wish you could take back your appearance in an "It Gets Better" video? This team is not doing its hometown proud this week. 

SF 49ers have denied their participation in the "It Gets Better" video seen 'round the world. After reporters showed them the video and the players saw themselves mumble some words from a script, they apparently wanted to distance themselves from the project.

Leave it to Chris Kuwe to expertly put another pro-footballer in place when it comes to unacceptable homophobia. This time around its San Fran 49er Chris Culliver who's on the unfortunate receiving end of Kluwe's LGBT-allegiance.
