Lana Wachoswki, co-director of the Matrix trilogy and the current blockbuster Cloud Atlas, made attendees of the latest Human Rights Campaign gala fumble for the nearest tissue as she accepted the prestigious Visibility Award with a tear-jerking speech.

We got our first look at the gorgeous Lana Wachowski (as well as the Wachowski siblings' new breathtaking film Cloud Atlas) back in July, but in this week's issue of The New Yorker, the famed director is only now talking about her decision to come out publicly as transgender. 

The Matrix's transgender director, formerly known as Larry Wachowski, has unveiled the final stages of her transformation as Lana.

Lana, providing director's commentary for the hotly anticipated Cloud Atlas, starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, and Susan Sarandon among others, revealed a pretty kick-ass head of hot pink dreads, and introduced herself  saying, ‘Hi, I’m Lana."
