Spencer Cox, an AIDS activist most recently known for appearing in one of the year's best films, How To Survive A Plague, has passed away at age 44. Like 39 year old Josh Weston whose death we learned about yesterday, Spencer succumbed to complications related to HIV.

Today’s Soapbox takes us back to 2008, when the hilarious Chelsea Handler got a little tipsy on our Soapbox.

The Raiders may have lost to Brendon Ayanbadejo's Baltimore Ravens, but they were nothing but great sportsman on field and in the locker room.

Brendon tells TMZ that on Sunday, three Raiders congratulated him on marriage equality's win in Maryland in a move that squash's the already-stale NFL locker room stereotype. 

President Obama's first reaction to Tuesday's landslide of victories for marriage equality in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington arrived on Thursday night through Valerie Jarrett, one of his key advisers. 

So, what does the president think about the election's landslide of love?

Washington United has just given us an update on where the vote for marriage equality in their state stands and it still looks like we will have a sweep in all four of the big gay ballot measures. But no one's ready to call it yet with over a million votes left to count.

As we reported, Monday's episode of Good Morning America was basically a big engagement special for the freshly un-closeted Sam Champion. Toward the end of the show, guest Ben Affleck took a moment to congratulate the newly minted gaylebrity and apologize for a lack of federal marriage equality.
