Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley thought they would only get a few bites when they headed to D.C. last week to photograph members of Congress for the NOH8 Campaign. They ended up with 10 participants, including openly-gay Congressman Jared Polis (D-Colo) above. So who else opted to don symbolic duct tape and stark white tees in opposition to inequality?

The Michigan Senate has approved by a landslide the controversial bill that seeks to require every school district in the state to adopt anti-bullying policies. The legislation made headlines weeks ago when Senate GOP tossed in (and, just as quickly, out) a provision nicknamed "License to Bully" that protected those who bully on religious grounds. Thankfully, the provision didn't make the final cut. Details follow.

Ahead of the marriage equality debate slated today in the Maryland House, delegate Peter Murphy (D-Charles County) has come out of the closet. With Murphy, Maryland, now boasting eight openly-gay lawmakers, becomes the state with the largest LGBT legislature. 

Reports the Washington Blade:

Murphy (D-Charles County), a divorced father of two who also has two grandchildren, said his colleagues and family have known for years that he is gay.

“I have never denied [being gay],” Murphy said, “I just presumed people knew.”

Murphy’s announcement brings to eight the total number of openly gay and lesbian members of Maryland’s legislature, the most of any state in the country. There is one openly gay state senator — Rich Madaleno...
