While the fight for marriage equality certainly isn't over, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is already looking ahead to the next challenges our community will have to rally together to face.
The momentum in terms of marriage is unstoppable, but what about the Employment Non-Discrimination Act which serves to protect LGBT people in the work place? What about immigration reform so that LGBT binational couples aren't unjustly separated? Keeping LGBT youth safe? Making sure our elderly community members are protected and taken care of?

James Franco will be attending the 15th Annual Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, where he'll be honored with the HBO Latin America Ally Award for his career accomplishments and his unwavering support of the LGBT community.
His film Interior. Leather Bar., co-directed with Travis Mathews will also have its Southeast premiere at the festival.

Sony Pictures Co-Chairman Amy Pascal challenged Hollywood to take a big step in the right direction last night as she was being honored by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center at a sold out gala benefiting homeless gay & lesbian youth.
Her message? Change the way we talk about gays in movies and eliminate gay stereotypes and slurs.
She asks, “How about next time, when any of us are reading a script and it says words like fag, or faggot – homo – dyke – take a pencil and just cross it out."
