The iconic New York City LGBT Center has announced a multi-million dollar renovation that will bring it up to the speed of the times as well as break down barriers that prevented some from seeking its world-renowned services. 

A thoroughly informative and totally-scientific PSA tutorial from the United Arab Emirates entitled "Be Yourself" is helping its LGBT youth be themselves ... as long as being themselves means not being stereotypically gay.

Despite what a trip to the annual Black Party or to the dungeon at the Eagle might lead one to believe, skin-tight leather and spandex does not always high-fashion make. Apparently inspired by the gay community's real-life superhero (Mother Monster), artists Kevin Wada and Max Wittert have swapped out the Spanx and given the leading ladies of the X-Men a couture makeover. Say goodbye to the skirt. DC Comics has given Wonder Woman a pants-suit makeover that affords the iconic superhero a more mature look. An odd choice of timing for an "update," given that the camel-toe leotard-look Wonder Woman made popular in the 70s is all the rage right now. No bueno, we say. But we guess we can deal as long as the bitch can still twirl and don her tiara.

Well, maybe not whores. But clearly more adult, less innocent and more provocative. Rainbow Brite is the latest little girl (and gay boy) idol to get a revamp, with Hallmark announcing they will begin rolling out the new Rainbow Brite doll shaped after the image seen above.

That girl has more eyeliner on then Adam Lambert post-Saturday night. And she just looks a little bitchy, to me at least. More than just a physical makeover, the Rainbow Brite collection got a new look, too. Gone are the Color Kids, who each represented a different color of the rainbow, and instead are replaced by two “white” sidekicks. Critics are quick to point out the while the makeup has been increased, the diversity has been dramatically decreased.

Another blonde is back on the scene, and while she's no Amanda Woodward or Heather (loves her) Locklear, we do have a soft spot of sorts for American Idol season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee.

What? Was that a typo? Did we say we had a soft spot? Yes, boys, even us Instinct-ers have soft spots in hearts for some things.
