Marc Jacobs is the latest gay fashion icon to be snatched up in a promotion deal by Diet Coke (Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier preceded him), and he's decided to kick off his new relationship with the brand by going shirtless. The designer pushes the envelope in his latest ad, which has garnered responses ranging from applause for its cleverness and criticism for less than tasteful.

Marc Jacobs' former piece and The A-List: New York "star" Austin Armacost has taken it all off for PETA, and we're not mad at it.

According to PETA, Armacost walked the catwalk completely nude "to show that it's much more comfortable to be in your own skin than someone else's."

Fashion week is in full swing here in New York City, and though celebrities are crowding lobbies and back stage areas of many designers' events, there are a few places they're not welcome: at Marc Jacobs showings.

Designers pay A-Listers upwards of $100,000 to pepper the audience at their shows, but Jacobs and business partner Marc Duffy have had enough.

"There's certain things I can't control, but we used to have all the celebrities and people there, and I think that at that moment in time that's what people loved," commented Duffy. "It generated so much press and at a certain point it was like, ‘Did anybody actually watch the show?"

Past diva difficulties have also helped the duo arrive at the ban.
