Cynthia Nixon, long admired for her activism (especially her efforts last year to help pass New York marriage equality), has found herself on our bad side this week. (Correct response whenever we say that: "But none of your sides are bad. They're all gorgeous!")

The former Sex and the City star became the subject of many an unflattering headline when she claimed she chose a homosexual lifestyle and then again when she attempted to clarify her statement. As our fight for equal rights wages in courtrooms across the country, the L.A. Times decided to examine how Nixon's possibly-dangerous statements would hold up under the gavel.
