With politicians practically tripping over themselves to get on board the marriage equality train, we were curious as to what's holding back the four remaining Senate Democrats that have yet to show their support. 

We're pretty sure a lot of their hesitation lies in fear that they won't be reelected by their socially conservative constituents. 

Still, Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana offered CNN an explanation. See what she has to say after the jump!

Nordstrom is the latest retailer to get into the gay-inclusive mix, albeit a little more subtly than their counterparts like Gap and JC Penney.

Their latest ad for their Nordstrom Weddings department is titled "Nordstrom: The Ultimate Wedding Party" and it appears based on our count that two of these wedding parties are for gay couples.

By a slim margin, the French Senate has rejected the motion for a marriage equality referendum.

According to a tweet from the French Senate's Twitter feed, "The referendum motion has failed: 340 votes cast; 164 votes 'for' and 176 votes 'against'." The vote to keep marriage equality away from a popular vote appears to have occurred along party lines as expected.

President Ronald Reagan would've gone against the anti-gay grain in the Republican party, according to his daughter, Patti Davis. The 60-year old told the New York Times that the former president would've been a proud supporter of marriage equality if he was still alive today.
