Parents of schoolchildren in Montgomery County, Maryland were rightfully outraged in February after students returned home with fliers promoting "ex gay" therapy, handed out legally at schools by PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays). Having voiced concern to school officials, a policy change that'll thwart the indoctrination of kids into a lifestyle of hate might be on the way. Details follow.

An Indiana man has been charged with sexual exploitation of children after allegedly coercing two teenage boys into being his “cam slaves,” by threatening to post videos of them performing sex acts on gay porn sites.

Democratic Maryland House Rep. Sam Arora earned himself a permanent place on our shit list when he voted against marriage equality in Maryland—a vote that thankfully didn’t derail Maryland from joining the hallowed ranks of those states that allow same-sex marriage.

Arora has been pretty quiet regarding the reasoning behind his vote, which many viewed as a betrayal considering he ran for office on a pro-marriage equality platform and originally co-sponsored a bill in support of it.

He’s beginning to open up about what led to his vote.

We hear the Balitmore Aquarium is a great spot for a wedding, and we look forward to it being a gay wedding as we add one more state to the list in our battles won for nationwide marriage-equality. Today Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley signed the bill that will give gay and lesbian couples the right to marry in the state. The new law will take effect January 2013. So what happens now?

On the high heels of Washington's fight to retain marriage equality arrives Maryland's. Within a week of the state adopting the right for its same sex couples comes a National Organization for Marriage-backed effort to repeal it, the Maryland Marriage Alliance. Details follow. 

If those opposed to marriage equality allow even for a second their minds to open and the slippery-slope arguments to, well, slip away, it is overwhelmingly likely that they'll come around to the side of love. The evolution of thought, as President Obama would put it, happened to Republican Maryland Delegate Wade Kach, who expereinced a change of heart after meeting with same-sex couples.
