After the nut jobs at the Westboro Baptist Church learned that Hillsdale High School was preparing a production of The Laramie Project, Fred Phelps and his gang of haters decided they would head west and protest on March 27.
Instead of backing down, the school and community are organizing a counter rally at the same time, where participants are being asked to wear white, as a sign of peace, or rainbow colors, as a sign of diversity.
What makes this Westboro protest a little more interesting than the group’s normal hate fests is that Phelps himself is depicted in the play, which chronicles the story and aftermath of Matthew Shepard’s murder. The church has protested... FULL STORY
