In the first move of Media Matters' DropFox campaign, a coalition of LGBT groups including Courage Campaign, GLAAD and Equality Matters have asked online-travel site Orbitz to stop advertising on the Fox News channel.

Liberal-backed watchdog group Media Matters is officially launching Equality Matters today—a “communications war room for gay equality.”
Says the New York Times:
It will be run by Richard Socarides, a former domestic policy adviser to President Bill Clinton who has been deeply critical of President Obama's record on gay rights. A well-known gay journalist, Kerry Eleveld, the Washington correspondent for The Advocate will leave that magazine in January to edit the new group’s Web site, equalitymatters.org, which is to go online Monday... The Wash. Times use of “scare quotes” around “partner” and “gay marriage” in its articles
The Wash. Times lauds the Boy Scouts for being “one of the last remaining bastions of American culture that has not bowed to the gay agenda”
