We certainly lost a great one earlier this week. Phyllis Diller broke the original glass ceiling for funny females, along the way bashing stereotypes, championing the underdogs and becoming the queen of comedy. While tributes have been pouring in (and rightfully so), we wanted to share one of our favorite pieces to run in Instinct, when Phyllis took over the Soapbox to share hilarious wisdom back in 2007...

As usual, Maggie Gallagher proves that her war against an American minority group has less to do with everyday Americans and their families and more to do with CEOs and dollar signs.

In rebuttal to word that Reuters has come out against Minnesota's upcoming anti-gay marriage vote, Maggie references a CNBC report to claim that "nine out of ten top states for businesses have marriage amendments."

That's great if you're a multi-millionaire CEO! But the story for the general population of these states is much less sugarcoated than Maggie would like you to know. Details follow.

Scott Thompson, the openly gay comic perhaps best known for Kids in the Hall, has said in the past that he believes "It Gets Better" is a campaign of lies. Now, he's raising threaded eyebrows for taking the insinuation one step further by telling bullied gay kids to "grow a pair."
