David Boies, co-counsel for the plaintiffs in Tuesday’s hearing before the Supreme Court, spoke exclusively to David Gregory on NBC’s Meet The Press today. And among many arguments, Boies once again likened our fight for marriage equality to that of civil rights, as well as handicapped what he believes is our likelihood of prevailing at the high court. After sitting out for three games as part of his punishment, Toronto Blue Jay Yunel Escobar returned to the field last night sans eye black and was greeted with an opening pitch from openly gay former MLS player David Testo.

Toronto community members met this past Wednesday to hear a proposal for a  gay-centric high school.

Proving he was not much more than a sack of sand blocking the road to Massachusetts marriage equality in 2004, then-Governor Mitt Romney reluctantly met with a group of gay parents in a PR-orchestrated act of diplomacy. As the he continues to slip in the polls in the 2012 presidential election, more details from this eight-year old meeting is coming to light. 

We would love to have been a fly on the wall during this meeting!

Utah advocacy organizations Equality Utah and Utah Pride arranged a meeting between local LGBT families and executives of KSL and Bonneville International. KSL is the NBC affiliate that chose not to air The New Normal, based on its "questionable" (read: gay) content.

GLAAD announced that they'll be partnering with Equality Utah and Utah Pride Center to host a panel discussion and screening of the  The New Normal for Utah residents.

Shortly after the meeting, Betty spoke with press about marriage equality. Oh, and meeting the president, too.
