Why mess with perfection?

Around this time last year we devoted an Instinct lunch break to lusting after pics of Criminal Minds star Shemar Moore shirtless on a Miami Beach. Guess Shemar knows that no shirt + the Miami sun x a beach + paparazzi = lots of blog loving because the scorching hot actor gave us Moore of our favorite kind of math this week! (More pics after the jump.)

LA Weekly reports that that decision has been overturned, and Loftis is once again able to apply for full-time teaching positions.

We've devoted much virtual ink to unapologetic gaybasher Buju Banton and we refuse to stop until he clearly denounces his numerous calls for the murder of gay men. But Bayfront Park Amphitheatre in Miami doesn't seem to feel the same way, as it has booked Buju (granted special permission from a judge to perform the show as he awaits a February trial on drug charges) for a concert next month.

Worse yet, the flyer for the concert labels Buju's show a "Family Event," and encourages young children to be subjected to his anti-gay lyrics by allowing kids under 12 free entry.

Buju Banton Reminder #1:

This is the kind of music Miami-area kids are being encouraged to listen to:

Batty bwoy get up an run
At gunshot...

Good news out of Miami today, folks!

In a unanimous 3-0 decision, a Miami appeals court has sided with a gay couple and ruled against an appeal filed by the state seeking to take needy children out of loving homes.

From the Miami Herald:

A Miami appeals court ruled Wednesday that Florida's ban on gays adopting is unconstitutional and affirmed the controversial adoption of two foster children by a gay North Miami couple.

The ruling deals a critical blow to Florida's 33-year-old law banning adoption by gay men and lesbians, and most likely sends the case to Florida's highest court for resolution.

Governor Charlie Crist has said he is considering ending the state's case.

“I think we need to review [the case]. My comments really...

The Miami Herald is reporting that in an interview with a Mexican newspaper, Fidel Castro calls his country's persecution of the gay community "a great injustice." Joe.My.God posts that:

Castro said that the revolutionary government's actions represented "a great injustice—a great injustice!—whoever committed it. If we committed it, we committed it. I am trying to limit my responsibility in all that because, of course, personally I don't have that type of prejudice."

The interviewer paraphrases him as saying that "everything came about as a spontaneous reaction in the revolutionary ranks that came from the nation's traditions. In the old Cuba, blacks were not the only ones discriminated against; there was discrimination against...
