The team behind the Archie Comics are showing no sign of steering away from controversy! The comic series introduced its first gay character, Kevin Keller back in 2010 (via Veronica, naturally) and now its introducing another first:

The One Million Moms already proved they were delusional when they came up with their name--we're guessing Three Hundred Twenty Seven Hags didn't have the same ring to it--but now they've topped themselves.

The Moms are now taking credit for The New Normal's cancellation.

One Million Moms is already off to its next destined-to-fail boycott, this time focusing its claws on Disney World's internationally-known Gay Days event. Claiming the invent's sole purpose is to desensitize children to transvestites and the "homosexual agenda," OMM has had it! with the sea of red, vibe of peace and harmless fun had by thousands during the annual event. 

One Million Moms apparently likes their men au natural and straight, or straight curious, off a 70s porn set. 

The offshoot of hate group American Family Association's latest target is a Norelco ad for a men's body groomer. It's as simple as that. 

So, why are the few hundred moms at best upset with Norelco?

Evan Woflson's wonderful Freedom to Marry has pledged $2 million dollars to states fighting for same-sex marriage in 2013. It all kicks off with a $800,000 donation to six states. 

With Bryan Fischer declaring that the Boy Scouts of America dropping their anti-gay policy will basically make it open season for pedophiles, it was inevitable that  the One Million Moms would get in on the action.

We may still be a bit fuzzy in the head from the final night of 2012, but we have no trouble remembering those who made last year one for the LGBT record books. Who will be on the right side of history and who will be in the wrong when texts recall the year that was 2012? After fighting oh so gallantly, the anti-gay One Million Moms are laying down their swords and moving on from their battle with JC Penney and Ellen DeGeneres.

One Million Moms is going after JC Penney again after they had to utter gall to use Ellen DeGeneres (you know, that spokesperson they paid a bajillion dollar to?) in their latest Christmas ad. 

This is, of course, because Ellen's lesbian cooties will clearly corrupt the elves that join her in the funny (and completely innocuous) spot.

It's written in the Bible (or in the HRC training manual, can't remember which) that "those who support love shall be rewarded" or something. It's a great saying (even if we did just make it up after a lunchtime margarita or three, and it will come to life for the states of Maine, Maryland and Washington when marriage equality goes into effect in the coming months. 

Humanity wins when civil rights wins, but The Assumption Church in Barnesville, Minnesota is acting like a big, sore loser after bigotry lost at the ballot box last week. Details follow. 

The New Normal was renewed for a second season, but you can bet the dozen or so "One Million Moms" won't be liking the show's Facebook page anytime soon. In a new email blast, the American Family Association subgroup once again lashes out at the TV comedy, this time for giving pop-culture such campy lines like "Jesus was ripped."
