The ACLU wants to be sure viewers have the opportunity next season! The group’s advocacy arm, ACLU Action, has launched a campaign—complete with a website—to urge Modern Family producers to make it legal for the hit show’s gay couple, Mitch and Cam. 

Of course the show does take place in California, where same-sex marriage is still illegal, but I guess we suspended reality enough to believe Mariah actually sang on Idol last night, so why not here, right?

Good As You provided this clip from Florida pastor Gordon Godfrey, Jr. in which he preaches to his flock about the unacceptable nature of homosexuality. He asks the question, "Where did we go wrong?"

It's just a reminder of the garbage that's being fed to people from the pulpit on a daily basis. 

Also for someone that's supposedly filtering himself from all things gay, he's certainly got an extensive knowledge of Modern Family, newscaster Sam Champion and Lady Gaga...

Something called the People's Choice Awards has bleeped on our gaydar after announcing its 2012 nominees with one category that should be renamed "Favorite TV Gay."

Even in a message conveying disappointment and frustration, Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson still manages to remain polite as he kindly shows homophobic "fans" the door. 

We love this so much! Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson celebrated a birthday yesterday in Boston and his co-star/on-screen hubby Eric Stonestreet surprised him with a serenade from the Boston Gay Men's Chorus! 

We just love how much these two seem to love each other in real life!

Oh and the Gay Men's Chorus performed Katy Perry's "Firework" (obviously!).

The 17th annual "Where We Are On TV" report from GLAAD, released today, reveals that LGBT representations on broadcast television series are at the highest levels ever! 

The massively successful Modern Family is arguably the unexpected heir-apparent to Will & Grace, at least when it comes to bring gay characters into the living rooms of Americans in such a funny way that the audience seemingly looks beyond their sexual orientation.

One of the show's stars, Ty Burrell spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about how Modern Family is changing the hearts and minds with a "banality" that happens to be "revolutionary."

Though there appeared to be no bitterness when Eric Stonestreet took home his second Emmy on Sunday for his role on Modern Family, his co-star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson has already started the campaign to unseat him next year!

His main sticking point? Stonestreet is stealing acting jobs from gay Americans!

Wedding bells are ringing! Emmy-nominated Modern Family star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, 36, has popped the question to his partner of two years, Justin Mikita, 27.  

Ferguson announced the big news as part of the launch of his new non-profit organization, "Tie The Knot," which will sell unique, fashionable bowties in limited quantities with the proceeds going to organizations that continue the fight for LGBT equality.
