The New York Daily News published an interesting piece today that may cast a shadow over the Presidential election in November.

President Obama's decision to come out in favor of same-sex marriage in May, may have marked a notable shift in support of same-sex marriage within the African-American community, but within the black church many clergy members viewed the move as a betrayal.

Now with the option being to vote for a President that supports same-sex marriage and a candidate that is part of a controversial religious faith (Mormonism), some black pastors are encouraging their parishoners to stay home on election day. More after the jump.

The latest entry into the It Gets Better Project club comes on the heels of the video by Mormon LGBT students at Brigham Young University.

This new video, which debuted at today’s Circling The Wagons Conference (a national conference for gay Mormons) in Washington D.C., features Mormon parents, friends, and family members of those that have come out as LGBT.

A sassy same-sex wedding card reportedly on sale at Whole Foods isn't exactly inspiring a chorus of chuckles across the LGBT community. The message on the inside of the card (complete with a glaring grammatical error) that's left some gays and lesbians feeling offended, after the jump.

"They're probably the greatest threat to America going down that I know of."

"The gays?"

"Yeah."

Absolutely terrifying. Thought Paranormal Activity was frightening? Check out the new trailer for the upcoming documentary 8: The Mormon Proposition, which obviously chronicles Proposition 8 and the Mormon connection. The stuff the wingnuts profiled in the film let spill from their gaping mouth holes keeps me up at night. Happy Halloween.
