It's been revealed that Navy enlisted officer, Master Chief Machinist's Mate Charles Berry, was removed from position serving as "chief of the boat" on the Kings Bay, Ga.-based USS Florida submarine due to "dereliction of duty."
It turns that this dereliction of duty was based on Berry doing nothing to stop the anti-gay hazing of a sailor who reported that a man had attempted to rape him at knife-point while their submarine was in port.
