We love celebrating our divas, and the love fest between two of our grandest dames, Meryl Streep and Hillary Clinton has us all a-twitter! (Calm down, Oprah—we’ve got a lot of love to give.)
Meryl Streep, the greatest actress of our time (and your time—and the time before and after that), took to the stage to introduce Hillary Clinton at the Women in the World Summit at Lincoln Center this past weekend.
It’s difficult to fully articulate Madame Secretary’s impact on the world, but Meryl does a damn good job trying.
Check out her funny and moving speech (we think La Streep got a little choked up at a certain point—as did we) after the jump! FULL STORY

If Bryan Safi just had cranked out the brilliant "That's Gay" as frequently as he's cranking out these spot-on Marcus Bachmann spoofs, perhaps the now-cancelled Current segments would still be as viral as the Jersey Shore's Florence, Italy house. Follow the jump to watch "Funny or Die" imagine what happened behind the scenes of Michele Bachmann's now-infamous Newsweek cover.

In commemoration of Princess Diana's 50th birthday on Friday, Newsweek has flexed its staff's Photoshop skill-set to imagine what the icon would look like were she alive today. Some (actually, a lot) are calling the two images, including a cover shot planting a 50-year old Diana next to Kate Middleton, distasteful. Take a look at the controversial cover and let us know what you think, after the jump.

Ramin Setoodeh -- the senior Newsweek writer who made homo headlines when he announced that all gay actors can't play straight based on Sean Hayes's (in)ability to butch it up in Promises, Promises -- has returned to our pop-consciousness with a tuned-up thesis: gay actors might be able to convincingly portray a hetero if Hollywood offered them more roles.
He brought his revamped one-trick pony and desperate need for attention to the Joy Behar Show last night. Follow the jump to watch and let us know if you think Ramin's new angle of the same argument is more palatable.

The one downside to having major star power in your play's leading roles is you know that, at some point, they're going to move on. So, if you want to catch Kristin Chenoweth alongside Sean Hayes in Promises, Promises, you best be booking a ticket to New York soon.
It was just announced that Kristin, originally supposed to leave the show next month, has extended her run through Dec. 26, when both she and Hayes will take their final curtain call together. The pair opened the revival of the Tony-winning production back in March. It was at the start of their run that the show, and Sean Hayes, got some unwelcome attention after the whole Newsweek/gay actors debacle—to which Kristin swiftly came both to Sean's defense, as well as the GLBT c... With the end of any year comes the expected best of- and worst of- compilations (shameless plug: Instinct’s own sassy take on the B&W of 09 is out now!). But, Newsweek has take it a step further and gotten all decade on us, with their take on the most memorable quotes of the decade.
Granted, many of these are more infamous at this point. Case in point, then President George Bush’s “Brownie, you’re doing a heck of a job,” at a post-Katrina press conference. Or John McCain’s assertion that “the fundamentals of the economy are strong,” as America was on the brink of a recession. Or Cheney telling Patrick Lehay to “go fuck yourself” while on the senate floor. Classics, really.

Here's the cover that all the cable news networks are buzzing about today. Sarah Palin has called "Fail" on Newsweek's new cover, stating that the image was originally shot for a running magazine and is blatantly sexiest.
All my personal feelings for her aside, I kinda agree with her. Kinda. But more importantly, what do YOU think?
