Is a gay NFL player on his way out of the closet?

A CBS Sports columnist claims it could be happening in the next few months!

New Orleans Saints linebacker Scott Fujita was one of the first vocal advocates for marriage equality and LGBT rights in the NFL. Over the weekend, he took the coming historic week at SCOTUS as an opportunity to explain to the world his impetus for supporting equality in an otherwise hostile industry.

Is it time for the "Kiss Cam" to go? Jacksonville Jaguars fan Dave Uible thinks so. 

And it's not because he's prude. 

Uible, who happens to be gay, has taken specific issue with the "Kiss Cam" joke that showcases happy heterosexual couples kissing, but then follows it up by aiming the camera at two male players on the opposing team.

Get it? They're two guys. If they kiss, that'd be gay. And funny. Right??

Zoltan Mesko, punter for the New England Patriots, joked with Twitter followers last week about a funny idea he had for a photo. 

"Would it be weird if I posted a pic of myself, poolside, in a speedo, holding two chihuahuas??? Thinking about it..."

NFL players Chris Kluwe (Minnesota Vikings) and Brendon Ayanbadejo (Baltimore Ravens) have submitted their own amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court imploring the court to strike down California's Prop. 8.

Earlier this week sports pundits brought us word that NFL recruiters were attempting to finesse a way to ask embattled Notre Dame football star Manti Te'o about his sexuality. Today, we learn that Manti isn't the only NFL prospect being questioned about their sexual orientation. 

Are NFL teams on the hunt to find out whether Manti Te'o is gay?

As NFL recruiters assess the football star's prospects, it appears that his Catfish-style hoax that centered around a gay man masquerading as Te'o's fake dead girlfriend is raising many questions about his sexuality and what it could mean for the team that signs him.

The final part of a two-episode arc on USA's Necessary Roughness sees a professional quarterback come out of the closet tonight to the love and support of his team. Is this how it will look when* (*when, not if!) the NFL gets its first openly gay player?

Minnesota Viking and equality advocate Chris Kluwe thinks so. 

We've been fans of Rob Gronkowski for a while now. 

It could have something to do with his willingness to go nude for ESPN Magazine's "Body Issue" or it could be the fact that he's "cool" with potentially having a gay teammate. 

Well apparently we aren't the only ones that have taken a liking to him because the folks at Sex.com have made the Gronk an offer that we're praying to Oprah he can't refuse.

Leave it to Chris Kuwe to expertly put another pro-footballer in place when it comes to unacceptable homophobia.
