We are all on eggshells watching and waiting for every tidbit of information on election results in states across our country. In California, still stung from last November Prop. 8 battle and loss, we're especially interested to see what side of history Mainers will come down on when the results for Question 1 are tallied.

For updated election results in Maine, visit www.protectmaineequality.org beginning at 8PM EST (that's 5PM for you Californians...in case math isn't your strong suit).

The campaign manager for No On 1, has produced this brief YouTube clip to thank everyone for their contributions to help them in Maine—and to help all of us around the country realize our equal rights, one state at a time.

The American principle of the separation of Church and State was enshrined in the Constitution to ensure that no particular religious perspective would be imposed on our pluralistic society.

Catholic teaching on social justice has been central to the building of a just society, creating awareness of diversity ...

The fight is on in Maine.

Yesterday, the anti-equality measure seeking to steal marriage rights from GLBT couples officially made it on the November ballot.

Today, we get our first TV-spot response from NO On 1/Protect Maine Equality.

Also, the NO On 1 campaign is pushing a creative Volunteer Vacation program -- an enticing month-long volunteer program to seal the deal during the final stage of the battle for equality. I've always wanted to see Portland...

What do you think of the group's first ad? Effective?
