Yikes. Professor, your homophobia is showing.
Harvard Professor Niall Ferguson stepped in it in a big way while debating the economic policies of John Maynard Keynes. Ferguson is the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History at Harvard University; he also authored The Great Degeneration: How Institutions Decay and Economies Die.
We know economic policy isn't exactly titillating, but Ferguson's insinuation that Keynes' policies are based on him being homosexual--and as a result, self-interested because he didn't have children is beyond offensive.

It appears not everyone was as thrilled as we were with Rhode Island's passage of marriage equality on Wednesday.
NOM's Brian Brown shockingly (read: not shockingly) chose to rain on our parade, but if it's possible, he may have been even more mean spirited than usual.
See what he had to say after the jump.

Homophobes in France aren't letting civil rights become law without a literal fight. As opponents of civil rights find themselves frustrated with the inevitable success of equality, they're turning to darker and more dangerous means to get their antiquated and bigoted points across.

Could there be a better symbol of the political fight for marriage equality than Jennifer Roback-Morse's hunting ear protectors? Like a tantrum throwing teenager who plugs their ears and screams "I'm not listening, I'm not listening, I'm not listening," the National Organization for Marriage figure head donned the sound-blocking headwear to a recent rally so that she didn't have to hear LGBT supporters call her a bigot.

Is anti-gay group NOM ready to wave a white flag in its losing battle for American inequality? Has it finally realized that time is not on its side in the U.S.?
One would be inclined to answer yes to the above questions after taking a look at the homophobic organization's new plans for world domination.
NOM's been dabbling in French anti-gay activism over the past six months, so it comes as of no surprise that the group's first international offshoot starts there.

Comparisons between the gay rights movement and the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's aren't new, but NOM head Brian Brown's comparison of his group's march against marriage equality to the historic civil rights marches of that period...well that's unexpected.
“I was not alive during the Civil Rights Movement but this is what it must have felt like,” Brown said.
Oh, really now?

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has no regrets about the company's decision to support same-sex marriage. In fact, he's so confident that they made the right call, he had no problem (politely) bitch-slapping a shareholder that questioned the decision.
Shareholder Tom Strobhar implied that the Starbucks boycott launched by the National Organization for Marriage last year had negatively impacted the company's bottom line. See what Schultz had to say in response after the jump! FULL STORY

Oops!
A quote from National Organization for Marriage Chairman John Eastman meant to attack families helmed by same-sex couples instead came off as a denigration of Chief Justice John Roberts' family.
