A fascinating article appears in this week's New York Magazine highlighting the work of "pulchronomics" expert and labor economist Daniel S. Hamermesh. In his new book, Beauty Pays, Hamermesh finds correlation between universal attractiveness and income, and, conversely, between "ugliness" and its economic cost. So, how much does Hamermesh claims it costs to be found "unattractive" in our modern culture?

Though at first she expressed excitement and anxiety over the multiple nods, later the pop stah took to Twitter to give a shout out to a handful of gay-dored artists she feels were snubbed in the process. So, who does Katy Perry think got snubbed in this year's MTV Video Music Award nominations?

The National Organization for Marriage isn't having such a great week. It's bad luck continued last night when the bumbling head of the hate group appeared on MSNBC's The Ed Show to ramble off his usual bullet points of terrorism (god hates gays, kids will die from marriage equality, etc.) in a celebrity death match with the good Rev. Al Sharpton. So who wins the debate on NY marriage equality?
