The White House has just released a video message from Ambassador Susan Rice—U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations—addressing today's International Day Against Homophobia (as they address it, minus transphobia mentions). See the video and read the transcript below.

Lambda Legal, the LGBT organization responsible for most of our major court victories over the past few decades, has received an anniversary present that certainly beats paper, wood, diamond and pretty much any other material or precious stone traditionally gifted: a message from President Obama. 

While visiting with Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla, President Obama took a few questions from the press over immigration reform and the American LGBT community. Check his response out after the break.

At the end of a major press conference that wrapped up moments ago, President Obama came back to the microphone for an encore of sorts to bring up his support for Jason Collins. Calling him a role model for LGBT youth who are struggling, and a sign of increasing recognition in America, President Obama practically gushed about the country's first openly gay active player in a major sport.

President Obama spoke with national Spanish language stations late Wednesday when the topic of the Supreme Court marriage hearings came up.

“I think it is time for the justices to examine this issue,” Obama told a Telemundo reporter.

110 members of the House of Representatives submitted a letter to President Obama, today, requesting that he sign an executive order banning employment discrimination by federal contractors on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. 

President Obama has evolved rather quickly once again from his big 2012 marriage equality announcement. He's like a comic book mutant or a cartoon animal on the Simpsons that lives too close to the nuclear plant or something. 

In what's clearly been a very Presidential day, President Obama signed the newly LGBT-inclusive version of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) into law this afternoon.

The Obama administration's amicus brief, filed last week, shot down what's being described as a "key" argument on the part of congressional Republicans in the Supreme Court's Defense of Marriage Act case. 

Lawyers defending DOMA on behalf of Congress argue that because same-sex couples cannot become accidentally pregnant, they do not need access to marriage.

If we don't legalize same-sex marriage, the terrorists win. 

That's the only message we can take away from al Qaeda's denouncement of President Obama's evolution on same-sex marriage.

The terrorist group released the spring edition of their magazine, Inspire, which includes a graphic titled "A Nation Standing On 'No Values.'" The graphic specifically attacks the growing support of marriage equality in the United States and highlights Obama and former House Rep. Barney Frank.

President Obama's bold second term took an even more LGBT-friendly turn on Friday after the Administration filed a brief asking to actually take part in the Prop 8 oral arguments before the Supreme Court. 

President Obama has obviously evolved even further from his personal support for same-sex marriage as evident in the DOMA and Prop 8 filings with SCOTUS in February. In a press conference held today, the president explains his evolution.
