Losing her mother and job in the same week? Ohio's Bishop Watterson school has made life hell for former teacher Carla Hale, who was fired after being found out as gay.
Hale was fired after an anonymous parent informed the school that the obituary for the teacher's mother listed her and her partner.

Midtown Comics will host their first wedding on Wednesday, June 20.
The New York Times reports that "In honor of the release of “Astonishing X-Men No. 51,” in which the mutant superhero Northstar marries his boyfriend Kyle, Midtown Comics will present the wedding of Scott Everhart, 39, and Jason Welker, 33, a couple from Columbus, Ohio, who were selected from more than 50 applicants."
