In an interesting move—as Neil Patrick Harris correctly identifies—the Boy Scouts of America have opened up their phone lines to hear what the public has to say about allowing gay troops and leaders into its ranks.

If an analog phone call is too old school for you, the BSA will also take your opinion on the matter at the email address  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Give 'em a ring or an email. You know the bigoted forces against dismantling Boy Scout discrimination are doing the same.

A new survey from Kaiser details the general American population's current relationship with HIV/AIDS, including the public's knowledge of transmission, concern and comfort levels with those who are positive. Interesting results, after the jump.

With the proliferation of Grindr, other mobile dating/cruising apps and a more palatable mainstream appreciation for websites like Connexion and Manhunt, more gay men than ever are digitally dating. A key ingredient -- especially for gay men -- on any dating/cruising app or website is listing what one is into on his profile. As in the physical realm of gay bars and clubs, on their social profiles gay men often list the races they find themselves attracted or not attracted to.

But lately we've been noticing more than just the typical "I'm only into white or latin guys" comment on social networks and cruising apps; now, disgust with these preferences are creeping up all across the digital dating landscape, with a lot of folks calling...

Developmental psychologist Ritch Savin-Williams thinks so.

In an essay penned for the Good Men Project (an acclaimed, inclusive online men’s publication that includes a FTM columnist), Savin-Williams argues that most GLBT teens are doing just fine. Savin-Williams goes further to suggest that the "It Gets Better" campaign might actually make things worse for GLBT youth by “promoting a false suicidal script.”

Writes Savin-Williams in a piece titled “The Gay Kids Are All Right”:

The recent tragic deaths of several teens who were gay, or were believed to be gay, have received national attention and reminded us of the unrelenting pain and desperation that we believe characterize the lives of gay youth. But this portrait is an...

The current GQ cover features a sex-on-steroids Glee threesome shot by photog-of-the-moment Terry Richardson, and parents aren't havin' it. On Thursday the ladies of The View ranted against the mag, the cast and everyone else involved for sexualizing actors from a show gaydored by kids around the nation, regurgitating a lot of the lines being tossed around all week by the Parents TV Council (which has labeled the spread as borderline pedophilia). (On a personal note, I think the 'controversy' is blatant overreaction and find myself more concerned that Corey Monteith (Finn) doesn't join Lea and Dianna in various means of undress in the spread.)

Well, the first of GQ's threesome to talk about the issue is Dianna Argon, who took to her blog...

There’s been chatter on gay networks this week regarding whether or not our beloved rainbow-striped, ever-lengthening acronym--now referred to as GLBTQi--is out-dated.

Those who contend that the default title for our community has no place in our modern-day struggles base their reasoning on the increasing fragmentation of each of its letters: the rights, lifestyles and identities of gays are becoming distinctly separated from the lesbian community's ideals; those who are bisexual or transgender feel disenfranchised from the larger acronym and regularly criticize the gay and lesbian communities for widespread intolerance.

Conversely, others stress that because of the continuance of national headlines devoted to the community, horrific ...

We might be able to get over a high-pitch voice too if we were banging the Becks. Here's how Victoria Beckham arrived at her happy place when Becks's purse first fell out:

"He had no clothes on whatsoever... I just stood there looking at him. He was all tan... All ripped, not an ounce of fat on him ... and I thought, you done good, girl. I sure wasn't thinking of his high-pitched voice."

Method is duly noted, Posh.

It's rarely mentioned on the wish list of clichéd things we gays look for in a man, but how important is a guy's voice to you?

Wow. April Fools is really messing with my head today.

First the RNC mailer, next April Fools jokes that Terrell Owens came out of the closet (I wish), and now Queerty says it got its hands all over a press release from Ricky Martin's legal team stating that he did not come out and that a police investigation is underway to determine who hacked the pop star's website to issue a coming out statement.

"While I am very supportive of the homosexual community, and truly appreciate the outpouring of support from fans all over the world, I am not a homosexual myself. I cannot comment further while there is a police investigation taking place, but I did not authorize any statement to be released on my website on my behalf. I apologize for ...

Ticked-Off Trannies With Knives, starring several transgender actors, is set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in April, unless GLAAD gets its way. The GLBTQ media-watchdog group has issued a petition against the film festival in the hopes of removing the indie flick from its lineup, charging that it "demeans transgender women."

Here's what GLAAD has to say:

By marketing Ticked-Off Trannies With Knives as a "transploitation" film, by using the word "trannies" (a pejorative term for transgender people) in the title of the film, by casting transgender women in some roles, and by citing the murders of Angie Zapata and Jorge Mercado in the trailer, Israel Luna has attempted to place his film squarely within a transgender narrative...

Figure skater Johnny Weir, who competed in the men’s short program on Tuesday at the Vancouver Winter Olympic games, has sparked homophobic comments across the sports world in the days since.

Dallas FM radio host Gregg Hanson went on air after Weir’s spot-on performance to insult the athlete. “Yeah, we know you’re gay, queen. It’s your choice to live that lifestyle,” he ranted on public airwaves. (You can This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Australian commentators even called some of the mens short-format ice skating “Brokeback Mountain exercises,” and complained that they were shocked to learn a few of the men were not gay.

Chicago’s “Rock” Mamola from 670 the Score goes further to assert that “Johnny...
