Though I find the video a bit righteous and the notion that AIDs should be stopped through celibacy and waiting until marriage archaic and possibly even dangerous, Miss Ray feels so strongly about it that she and a few of her catering pals got together to spread the word via karaoke-style music.
What do you think of Miss Ray's message and/or song?

Tags: lifetime, project runway, season 7, design, TV, reality, cast, preview, images, pictures, opinion ...and I'm not initially attracted to any of them. Not that the gaydored reality show is about hot pieces, but like Logan did for me last season, it certainly makes it more fun to watch. And yes, it's wrong to judge a book by its cover, unless the cover is incredibly ripped.
Sarcasm aside, what do you think of our first glimpse of season 7?
Anthony, 28
Jesse, 25
Jonathan, 29
Mila, 40
Seth, 38
You can see more of the cast in Lifetime's preview here.

Tags: taylor swift, kanye west, billboard magazine, top artists, 2009, awards, opinion Forever intertwined by one fateful night at the VMA's Taylor Swift and Kanye West have both earned "best of" awards for 2009. Billboard Magazine named Taylor Swift the year's top female artist, while Kanye took the male spot. Sure, Billboard chronicles the music charts, but I have a feeling the titles weren't handed out based on sales...
Do you think these two are worthy to be called top artists of 2009?

Greg Grunberg, the actor who portrays Officer Matt Parkman on Heroes, has gotten himself into a messy controversy after posting a Chaz Bono-related Tweet.
The Tweets that have some in the GLBT community offended:
The Bilerico Project's Rebecca Juro was the first to report on Grunberg's Twitter posts, labeling them transphobic, but not attacking the actor with too many punches. Grunberg received wind of the offense his Tweets provoked, and personally responded to Juro maintaining that he was referring to Chaz's weight and not status as a transgender individual.
But we want to hear what you think. Do you find Grunberg's Tweets offensive?

As a sassy fan of satire, the book I'll be purchasing come Tuesday won't be Sarah Palin's ghostwritten Going Rogue: An American Life, but instead Going Rouge: An American Nightmare. Compiled by the editors of The Nation and scheduled to be released on the same day as Palin's already-bestselling memoir, Going Rouge is said to catalog the more negative side of the once-political pop-culture star. And unfortunately for those of you who get filled with gay giddy as I do at the mere mention of political satire, editors Richard Kim and Betsy Reed swear the contents of the book aren't as witty and sarcastic as the cover; instead, the book takes a serious tone, with 23 harshly critical essays. Well, at least some of us political pansies might... FULL STORY

(Updated below)
In a move that's stirred up a few double-takes across the community today, Salt Lake City has passed anti-discrimination laws in housing and employment--with a little bit of help and support from Mormon leaders.
Whether it's a bit of PR spin to try to come off as less-hateful, or to give the illusion of evolving since being awarded "America's biggest foe of equality" title for majorly contributing to the passage of Prop 8, or simply a Christian-like gesture for once, the Mormons came out in support of the anti-discrimination legislation, helping it pass last night in SLC.
"The church supports these ordinances," LDS spokesmen Michael Otterson said, "because they are fair and reasonable and do not do violence to the institution... FULL STORY

In a sassy interview with Times Online, author Gore Vidal gives a liver-spotted middle-finger to plenty of things. He might be turning into a curmudgeon, but I like his youthful gusto. What do you think of Vidal's opinions?
Culled from Boy Culture:
On the future of the United States:
"We'll have a military dictatorship fairly soon, on the basis that nobody else can hold everything together. Obama would have been better off focusing on educating the American people. His problem is being over-educated. He doesn't realize how dim-witted and ignorant his audience is."
On President Barack Obama, whom he supported for president after switching from Hillary (whom he now believes would have been better):
"I was hopeful. He was the most... FULL STORY

Usually dolls scare the shit out of me, but “Gwen” from American Girl just pisses me off. Sure, the doll’s background story (every American Girl comes with a biography) reveals that Gwen is homeless, providing a lesson for the hard-knocks life has to offer to the daughters of the affluent. But at $95 per toy, is the message getting lost in the price tag?
It might make sense if the company announced that a percentage of profits from sales of the dolls were going to organizations that aid the homeless, but the suits at American Girl have been very forthcoming that not a single cent of sales from the hundred dollar toy will benefit anyone but them.
In its defense, American Girl has donated thousands of dollars to charities that help ... FULL STORY

A new site cut from the same guilty-addiction cloth as People of Walmart and Look At This Fucking Hipster has taken aim at the fabulously, gregariously gay -- HomoShame.com.
Not exactly homophobic, not really tolerant -- this one is tough to gauge, which is why we're posing the question to you, ravishing readers.
Is HomoShame hilarious or homophobic?

Tags: libertarians, doma, dadt, congress, hate crimes legislation, opinion America’s third-largest political party, the Libertarian Party, aggressively pressed Congress earlier in the week to fight vigilantly for the GLBT community.
On Monday, members of the party challenged Democrat leaders in Congress to repeal DOMA and DADT, but to oppose a federal hate crimes bill.
While I applaud the group’s support of GLBT civil equality, I fundamentally disagree with their opposition to hate crimes legislation. As Cat Sumner, Libertarian National Committee gay and lesbian policy advisor, states, “So-called ‘hate crimes’ bills further divide America by creating different classes of victims for the same crime. Instead of dividing the gay and straight communities, we should be treating everyone equally.”
A million... FULL STORY
